Best Practice Name: Safety light for park vehicles
Overview Contact Links Print this BP    Email this BP
Situation:
We needed to mount an amber light on the UTV we use at Beaver Creek Valley State Park to provide more visibility ant therefore be safer when using the UTV in parking areas or along roads.

Approach:
We did not want anything that would catch on branches etc. when working in forested areas. We used "scrap" material to build this steel mount which holds the light just above the roof line of the UTV, but is just below when the magnetic base is removed, avoiding tree branches. The bracket is bolted the bottom of the box and the sidewall.

Outcome:
It has worked well over three years.
