Overview Contact Links Print this BP    Email this BP
Situation:
State park has many long stay family campers. No formal recreation or program exists.

Approach:
Donated games and puzzles are available for visitors to use during their stay at the park. Donated books are available for visitors to "take a book, leave a book". Games, puzzles and books are left on a shelf in a rental building for visitors to use whenever the building is open. No monitoring other than occasional sorting and checking is done.

Outcome:
Slow but steady use occurs throughout the season the building is open. More games, puzzles and books come in than go out. Positive visitor comments are noted.
